Las Vegas

We spent last weekend in Las Vegas. Despite the nature of the city, my mastitis on the mend, and the horribly awful hotel room that we got conned into getting for "free"...we had a really nice time. On Friday night we went and hung out at a beautiful hotel (Seth and Shayla were in Vegas as well and loaned us their key) and ate dinner and played at the pool all night (where three different groups of people asked up if the boys were twins).

Saturday started off with a long walk down the strip. Turns out that while safer to be walking the strip at 8:30 in the morning, anything we tried to do wasn't up and running yet. The boys did like the M&M store though.

We met up with the Birks later that morning and had a great rest of the day. They took us to an awesome park with a splash pad that the boys loved. Then we picked up a delicious lunch and Panera, then headed out to the Bass Pro shop (after playing with barbies and guinea pigs for a little while). Martha cooked us a fabulous cafe rio dinner and an amazing chocolate cake for dessert and then we played a fun game once the kids were down.

Every time we went any where in the car, this is what happened after a few minutes.
At the Bass Pro shop. There were some really cool fish tanks and stuffed animals, but the boys got a kick out of the ATVs and boats more than anything.

Thatcher and Mini. He adores her and it is so funny to see how mature and old he acts when he is around her.
The wonderful Birks who were our family friendly tour guides, cooks, entertainment, and ended up being our hotel as well. I recommend the Birk home over America's Best Inn and Suites any day.

Someday....my boys can dream, right?
